if you're getting an actual oem grille, then you should have no problems. when you purchase jdm or oem "style", then you might have quality or fitment problems. as far as what year car you have, will determine which grille you should get. 96-98 grilles are different from 99-00 spec grilles. make sure you match what year you have with the grille.

ebay replica grills are all the same. some fit a little better than others, i guess depends on if your lucky to get one that fits perfectly. the one i got for my coupe was not bad but i have heard of others that weren't so lucky

i just made mine using the oem grille shell so it's a perfect fit and finish, plus no painting required.

alright, the grille is made from two parts, the black part (frame), and the painted part (shell). so what you do, is unscrew the two pieces, and then proceed to cut the interior section (the long black fin with the H) and then cut a black grille mesh to fit in between the black and painted part. does that explain.

I bought mine off ebay. 04 civic ex coupe ( had the honeycomb with chrome H in middle). new one is open with black mesh. only problem is the bottom part of lip sticks out further than bumper. Didnt fit properly. Nothing noticeable unless you are looking dead on but to me it bothers me just cause I know. Now Im taking my old one removing the honeycomb and applying either mesh or a grill made by GRILLCRAFT(which uses stock assembly and molding).
