I bought a set of blue neons. Worked like ****. The first one broke when i was pulling it out of a box. and the second one when when it took a rock from the tire. lame ***. So i went to led strips. Theyre not flexible to the best of my knowledge but they still work. Blue of course and i couldnt think of a more appropriate color for yellow. You definitely want to stay away from the neon rods. Other than that Id say go with red.
preaty much...
i had my tubes all profetionaly instaled on my old 66impala and they did the L shape channeling to protect the bulbs as well as hide them... BUT still turned out that alittle piece of road debri broke one of my bulbs..... then i ran into some ice and slide over a small bush that busted my front tube.LOL
shortly after that i stoped using those expensive neon tubes...

instaled one strip today on the rear.... will instal the front one tomorow... then i have to measure the rest and see how long i need to tie them all in together for a seemingly solid strip all the way around the car

these flex strips kick @SS!!!!!!!!
bend em anywhere ya want to!!!!!!
no way in hell to break them! completly water proof.... more expensive than my cold cathode current UB setup.... but i dont have to worry about them geting wet and frying!
cold cathodes never seem to break the bulbs.... just the transformers get water then them and fry!
and after messen around with the one strip i might have to buy a few more to decorate my room.LMFAO
