50K miles on any vehicle thats never had its oil changed or oil level maintained or even coolant level maintained can trash a motor! or parked out in the sun all day every day.

hahaha LOL. I like the convertible civic lol. It looks worse than Sebring convertibles!! I agree though.. Your making a CIVIC go a VERY LITTLE TEENY BIT faster. It's a freaking civic bud. They are beautiful cars that weren't really made to drag race....
But hey, "to each his own"

Dude.... poor car. It was made to be a nice car, not a fast car. Save yourself the trouble and just buy yourself a .... (insert name of similar priced but faster American car here) I didnt turbo mine cause I would have had to give up the airconditioner, not that I ever use it, but just the though of driving a car so primitative that it doesnt have an AC....

if you want weight reduction in a civic, then do it the right way. what you removed won't do anything to improve your cars performance if you can't drive a lick. You need to learn to properly drive your car aggressively to improve your cars performance. What you did is time consuming and pointless. If you want a weight reduction, then replace the seats with light weight alternates, remove the spare, remove the rear seat, rear interior panels, carpeting, sound deadening, speakers, head unit, etc.

If you drag race, you probably just improved your E.T's by about .05 depending on if you know how to consistently drive. Sorry to be the buzz kill like everyone else is doing, but this makes civics look bad and why people don't respect me because I drive a civic.

well it seems like your saying your a better driver than me.. sounds like a challenge from the words you used.. why not come see me at the next Auto Club Road Course Challenge.. drive as agressively as you can that wont give you the win against me.. yeah the crap i took off from behind the dash is tiem consuming but when you have 2 hours to kill why not do something.. and about the "bringing the value down" like i give a **** about value.. its just a civic right.. not like its a 1969 Camaro Yenko that you wanna keep original.. but anyways.. i didnt do it to make it a bit faster.. thats where the motor swap comes into play and the transmission build also..
