right now i have these lights i bought from autozone for like 50 bucks. i believe they start with a X? well when i turn my brights on my left headlight bulb goes out.? and my low beams they both work great what are decent light bulbs for my 98 civic ex i could maybe pick up at walmart...i don't have the money for expensive ones. but i need to also use my brights at night.

if not, just get plain sylvanias... don't get the cool blue ones, they don't illuminate all that well.

are you sure it's not a wiring problem? the high beam's wire is separate from the low beam's wire.
a way to make sure it's just the bulb is to switch the bulbs from headlight to headlight and then see if the side of the car that high beam's don't work on changed to that bulbs new location.
if it didn't change, it's a wiring problem. if it changed, it's the bulb.
