Hey everyone I'm looking at this body kit but the guy that has it doesn't even know what year civic it came off of? can someone tell me if this will fit my 2000 si

He THINKS its off a 97 but he doesn't know

If it is from a 96-98, then it will not fit your 99-00.

Please, do not ruin your SI with a body kit. There is nothing wrong with the OEM lip.

I got the car wrecked front and back end..so it doesn't have front or back bumpers..and like I said the guy doesn't even know what year it came off of thats what im trying to figure out.. is there any tell signs on the bumper to see what year it goes on?

The differences are hard to point out when the pieces are off the car. However, the headlights are different on the 99-00 than the 96-98. Thus, everything that "touches" the headlights is a little different (bumper, fenders, hood, grill).

Unless, I am unaware of an easier method, it would be difficult to see the differences... especially with nothing next to it to compare it to.

That looks like a 96-98, judging by the spacing between the headlight area and the grille

yeah like I said he thought it was from a 97 but he was not sure ...can anyone else tell? it would be a cheaper fix for me cuz I can get the whole kit for cheap

Well, if you do want a body kit in the future, then go for it.

If this is just temporary, and you eventually want stock bumpers (say... with a lip), then walk away. There is no use in buying things twice. I believe a certifit.com front and rear bumper is something like $140.

Basically, the question is... what do you want in the end? Once you establish that, then go for it.

well i guess it doesn't really matter what year it is cuz the car needs new head lights and hood and fenders for that matter.. but still would need to know the year for I can get the parts that match it lol.

I would just go with stock parts with a lip on the bumper.
