Default Window Tint

[hr]Are those Window Tint kits any good? You know the pre-cut ones on ebay that you use soapy water to apply them.

Thanks.
JT

I have no experience with them, but I highly doubt they are any good. I have a feeling that's what was on my car when i got it, and it was horrible. It was blurry, and sucked. I scraped it off the 2nd week i had my car. Then I got agift certificatetoget tint put onthat christmas from my mom. Much better, and has a lifetime warrantee (against getting blurry and peeling, etc.)from the place I got it done.

You're just paying for the pre-cut pieces. What makes a tint job bad is the application in most cases. do some searches and find more info if you want to do it yourself.Almost anyone could do the side windows. Spend the extra money to have it done professionally with a warrantee.Only put me down$190 forfivewindows.

i'd have to agree definitely about the warrantee (it's nice to not have to worry about it getting messed up since it's free if it does),and it's definitely worth getting done professionally. Plus, if they mess up, it's their fault and they have to fix it. If you mess up, you're screwed.

naw dude get it profressionaly done. Get a warranty so if it peels/bubbles they'll replace it, and try to keep it legal, fix-it tickets are a bitch after a while (never got one for tint but my friends have [&:])

tried tinting the windows myself but not with the ebay pre cut ones. it was a disaster, hard to get it perfectly. took it to the pros couple days later turned out a lot better than i would have ever done it. $180 five windows and lifetime warranty. have it done professionally you won't regret it. for the ebay ones you will most likely regret it later on.
