window tint help
i hjust bought an indash dvd player and i currently do not have an alarm system, the indash is detachble so i figuire it will look more hidden that i have an indash with tints, i dont want dark tints cause idont want to get pulled over all the time, what is a good percentage??? and also the weather is getting cold, is cold weather a bad time 2 get tints??
Tint percentage is different in every state almost, some it's illegal all together. I have always used 15 to 20% on almost every application. If you don't want to go too dark 20-25% is pretty nice, anything up to 30% will still be decent, anything over that starts to look like you don't even have tint. 5% is "limo" tint I believe, its the worst, hard to see in and hard to see out, but looks cool. It would get you pulled over faster then anything. I would shoot for something 20-30%.
Yes, If you have a heated garage its one thing, but tint needs to set properly, at least 24 to 48 hours before you even think about rolling down the window.
It would probably be a good idea to hold off till the ambient temp is around 60* F or so. It may take longer to dry properly any lower then that.

well if i get it done proffessionally where they have a heated garage, does it matter or will the tints not settle properly if it is taken outside in the cold after the heated garage?
