Default wiring fog lights

i currently have the yellow fog lights but i want the clear ones now because getting sick of the yellow , too flashy for me. i have everything hooked up for the fog light the way i want it, but i didnt do it myself, didn't want to deal with cutting the bumper so i ask them to do all the wirings also. and i'm not too good with electrical stuff

so my question is, how do i replace the fog lights to clear ones, i was planning on getting a brand new kit and just using the fog light. do i just cut the wire and twist the wires of the clear ones with the rest of the wires. anyone know how i can replace the fog light without having to replace all the wirings and just swap out the fog lights only.

Are they stock? or OEM "style" ebay ones? If ebay, just get a set that has the clear lens and they should bolt right on. You likely won't have to replace everything. You'll just swap the light boxes themselves onto the existing brackets.

If you can pull the bumper cover and snap some pics of the wires, and maybe take some pictures of the fog light wiring, we can help you further. Did they use the stock stuff or run new wires? The more info you can give us, the better.

(Once you've gone this route, you'll basically have a complete fog light kit to sell through the classifieds here...)

do you think i should keep my yellow fogs? should i keep them or go with clears what do you think looks better on my car? if i keep them i need to lower the beam for the fog light. i think its a little too high. is there a way to adjust them? and they are ebay style fogs and they've held up pretty good.

Regardless of what ANYONE on this forum says, it's your choice because it's your car.
I've got ebay clear ones and I like them. They could use different bulbs because the light that they produce is more like stock headlight "white" (read: yellowish). Because I have stock headlights, it blends fine for me, though.

Personally... with your car being the color it is, and with you having the dark tint and the headlights, black rims, etc. I would not rule out the clear OR the smoked ebay fogs. Yellow really stands out too much against the color of the car.

Here are some instructions that show how to install stock fogs. At the end are directions on raising and lowering the beams. Ebay copies work the same as stock.

thanks itinerant, the .pdf files helped a lot. i wanted to go for the IS 300 yellow fogs , my friend has one and i really like the yellow fogs that the IS 300 have. i currently have yellow Nokya H3 fog light bulbs. What color do you think will show if i have white bulb in the yellow lens fog light. will it still be yellow but more whiter yellow? do you think it would look like the IS300. My other option would be going with clear lens and throwing in the Nokya yellow fog light bulb in the clear lens fog. Which one do you think would look close to the IS 300 fog lights?

I'm not familiar with those brands/styles, but I would think that a white bulb with a yellow lens would look bright yellow, likely almost identical to your current setup in your sig. My feeling is that the lens shows what color the lights are supposed to be, and if the lens is clear, the bulb makes the color. If you want a specific yellow, get clear lenses with those yellow bulbs. If you want a different style light, swap lights completely. It all depends on how much you want to spend.

i am going with a new pair of clear fogs and throwing in yellow fog bulbs. i've looked at a few is300 and they seem to have clear fog lens. so i'm just going to give that a try. looks like it's just going to be plug and play. thanks for the help.

I will have a pair of fog lights for 99-00 civic coupes later when i swap them out. it will have brand new wires and OEM style fog light switch and a pair of used yellow fog light (no bulbs uses H3 fog light bulbs). I will sell it for $30. I am not selling now, but i just want to post up so people can call on dibs. I will post in classifieds when i have them available.

Any chance you have a link to a guide like that for an '02 Civic?
