when u get it, it will have instructions, but its very easy,i have a autometer. The shift light plugs into a wire that comes from the back of the tack, then theres a wile for illumination, hook that up to a switch or attach it with your red wire or splice into your interior lights which i did, black wire for ground, red wire for power,u can hook that up to a empty constant 12v fuse where the fuse box is under the dash, and the other wire (forget the color,i think its green), that gets hook up to a tack signal in your engin bay, if u get it and theres no instructions, i can take a pic of where i got my tack singal hooked up to, but its very basic

Simple.......Don't buy it if it doesn't come with instructions.
