my battery quit on me last nigh cause of the cold...I had to push the car for two blocks, and than try to catch up with it downhill, jump in, clutch-1s-let-go-of-clutch...

It's a whopping 34 degrees here tonight. I think we hit 60 the other day.

I grew up in the nevada desert, and during the winter, it got pretty freakin cold. not crazy cold like some places, but i remember a couple of cold snaps where it was like, -20 for 2 weeks. and it would get below 0 at least a few times a year. now that im in sacramento, 50 ft over sea level, its down to about 35-38 at around 7-8 am, and all these cali guys i work with complain about how cold it is. im like, theres barely frost on the windows. i love visiting home or going to Lake Tahoe and going out in the near 0 cold and just marvel at just how freakin cold it is. makes me appreciate the Sacramento "lows"

yeah, I think it was last year, no, the year before, when for the entire month of january it never broke 30 degrees. That was bad. Last Saturday I thought it was "pretty nice out" so I went out for a walk for over an hour. When I got home I checked the temperature it was 32 degrees. toasty.

i remember a couple of years ago there was a straight week where the temperatures were at the only point where F and C meet on the scale... that is right -40 and that was without the windchill [:'(][:'(] my apartment didnt have any heat in it for 4 of those days too[:@] i never want to see that type of temperatures again ..... EVER!!!!!!

anyone want to let me move in with them for the winter... somewhere there is no snow... like in cali somewhere

Yeah... two years ago was unbareable. I remember one morning the wind chill was -40. RIT sent us all an email telling us to not leave skin exposed when we were walking to class or you'd get frost-bite by the time you'd get to the academic side. Like it'd kill them to cancel class.[:@]
