I have to concur with this. Another thing you have to remember, that it's all in WHO is interpretting this. For that is all it is, interpretation. There are many words in other languages that CANNOT be translated into any other language, yet we still try, hence the phrase "Lost in translation". Another thing you must keep in mind, the bible(I'm reffering to the Old Testament) was written to give hope to a group of enslaved peoples suffering the tortures of the Pharoes of Egypt. Next, there is NO record of an uprising in the slave population in any Egyptian history writings, the Old Testament is dated back to Ramses II, if there was an uprising and the Hewbrews did manage to leave Egypt, if it was of significance it would have been recorded; now granted it is possible that we just haven't found those writings yet, or they may have been destroyed. Next ponder this, the Old Testament we know was translated from Greek (found in the library of Nebechanezer(sp?) among other places), which was at the time the language of scholars in the middle east, now the Isrealites would not have spoken Greek at the time these stories came about, so that means that at least 2-3 translations have been made before it was translated into English, don't you think that many of the meanings may have been lost?

 

it is some freaky ****, but you also have to remember that hebrew years do not match christian years. I think we're currently in like 1600s according to hewbrew beliefs, hence it will be another 400 years for year 2021 to come (which is still a pretty short time in global proportions, but we will probably not witness this in our lifetime)

 

That's quite interesting. But keep in mind that was TV, and it may have been sensationalized a bit; the producers wanted their program to get to you wriled up, and that's exactly what you did.

I'm not much of a scriptorian, but quite a few of the major things that have happened in the past few years are mentioned in our scripture (the only thing I can remember ATM is the flooding after Katrina). I don't doubt that prophets in ancient times had revelation that these things would come to pass, and I do believe that there will be a Second Coming. Possibly not in my lifetime, but soon in the big scheme of world time.

I have heard of this. It's called the bible code and if you really read up on it some of the stuff is pretty freaky. Also, there's another prophacy called saint Malichi's prophacy.(I'm really tryin to spell) It was written in the middle ages by a bishop and states that this is the last "real pope". That the next to come into power did my unconventional means and will evently see to either the end of the world of the downfall of the Chatholic Church. I lean more towards the latter. For every pope to come he shortly described their life, such as: For Pope John Paul II, he started that the third to last pope will be the "ruler of the sun". John Paul II was the only pope to be born on an eclipse of the sun and die on an eclipse of the sun. And for our current pope, he says he would be italian, which he is. I no it's contraversial, but its cool to look into.
