2010-2011 NHL/AHL/Hockey Season Discussion

I'm not calling you bandwagon, I'm calling you uneducated. It's cool, I don't expect everyone to be as overly obsessive about this sport as I am
You are aware that the Hawks have almost completely dismantled their team since they took home the cup, right? They've got youth and a few core players that will keep them in the playoff run for a while (Although, they spent way too much money on most of them).
As for the Pens, they'll likely be a contender again this year but I think last season was a pretty good indication that they won't always live up to the hype Mr. Bettman shoves down NHL fans' throats.
Also, I know I'm dating myself a bit here, but I've been a die hard Red Wings fan since the Dead Wings era (Late 80's into the mid 90's). So don't give me that **** about it being "easy to be fan of champions." It's not my fault Kenny Holland turned the franchise around just in time for me to love every second of it. I've been pulling for my team year in and year out, whether they're making a run for the cup, or getting bumped out of the first round come playoff time. Always have, always will, because THIS IS HOCKEYTOWN!

Uneducated...mmm been following hockey in general since I was 6 so that may not being say much over 13 years, but I know what im saying.
The Pens has no defense last season and with the best players in the league couldn't get a PP worth ****, but the defense even with losing Gonch will be re vamped and improved something that will help us get to the top again.

It'll be an interesting season, that is for sure. Both of our teams are better this year, I just think the Wings have more depth than anyone else in the NHL coming in.
That is, of course, barring any injuries and ****..

Ya the Wings know how to stack their team and all your prospects are pretty promising and of course with Zetterberg and Datsyuk the offense will be just fine. If anything I still think your defense will lack slightly this season Lidstrom is just gramps skating around anymore.
Yes though good season on it's way.

Yeah well tell that to Lidstrom's stat sheet, and every team's #1 player who gets shut down by that "gramps" game in, and game out.
Brian Rafalski
Nik Kronwall
Brad Stuart
and the recent addition of Ruslan Salei
I think we'll be okay
Alright, enough one-on-one bickering, how about the recent Paul Kariya news?! Going to miss this whole season with post-concussion syndrom. Can't imagine what could have made him susceptible to something like that??

How about the Fort Wayne Komets! They have been dominating the IHL for the past three years. They have now joined the CHL and so this will be interesting to see if they can win four championships in a row.
