72 Chevelle

I have been searching forever to find the value of my other car, but I haven't found anything. I must be retarded. Does anyone know of a website that will give me the value of my 72 Chevelle - Malibu? If not, can anyone tell me what they think would be a good asking price if I wanted to sell it?
It has the original 350 with matching numbers, 1 rust spot under the vinyl top about 3 inches by 2 inches, 40k miles original, and a near perfect body.
The only damage was a riding lawn mower driven by an old lady has dinged the side a few times.
Any imput or opinions would be extremely helpful.

Something like this would be around $60-80k + for a matching number vert

Attachment 33930

Something like this more like$40-60k

Attachment 33931

A solid, restorable, matching number car of that vintage may fetch $25k around the Northeast. Remember, everyone wants to steal it for as little as possible. Put some test ads in the paper and do some online research on collectorcarsonline.com or some similar site. See what others are asking and GETTING for cars similar to yours. Don't be in a rush!!!

i found a link to classic car pricing for my demon...here is one for your car, based on what you said:
http://www.nadaguides.com/default.as...8315&da=-1

it depends on the area, and the market for that car...for a llong time, mopar E-bodies were REALLY getting high, especially when the challenger concept debuted..but they are starting to come back down now.

Well, my Chevelle doesn't look as good as those pics, but it's still in nice condition. The paint is very faded and there are 2 3-inch tears in the interior. Sorry I forgot to get pics up last night....fell asleep when I got home. I promise I will pull it out of the garage tonight and take some. ;)

trey, if you have a look at that link that i posted, youll see the descriptions of how to classify your car.

i will say that smokem is 100% right about being careful before selling...especially for a running, street-worthy car. i found someone late last summer who was in a huurry to get rid of a car, and i paid about 10,000 under book value...no joke. take your time, and dont jump on the first offer, unless its SUPER high.
