Default 91 silvia needs tlc?

Alright this should be the proper place to post this one, let me know what you guy's think and sorry for the other offtopic post Its a 91 silvia I believe with a newer sr20det swapped into the thing. Seems like it could be a decent summer proect car to work on especially if I sell my hatch which shouldn't be to hard around here! The guy emailed me this response :

The car had a battery and was running last summer. It will probably need some tuning up after sitting for the winter. I cant see it even costing you a grand to get this thing to run smooth. I was planning on putting money into this car and drifting it but i got into a bad car accident and need money for my lawyer. 4,000 is a steal of a deal for this. If you wanna come check it out you can give me a call at (780) ***-7330

THE CAR >>> http://forums.780tuners.com/showthre...hreadid=100599

and the original dealer seller page: http://www.importconcern.ca/stock/100165/

>>> (seems like it had quite a few nice upgrades like the Apexi front mount and gauges etc.

*ninja edit: buy it, do a strawberry face conversion, and sell the s13 front end to cover 75% of the strawberry face conversion

lol It does look like a pretty swet deal even if it does need a little bit of tuning/work, I like the widebody and offset wheel look plus the color is pretty nice AND best of all they got the original blown out motor out of there I told this guy if its there in a week (I start my shift of work on Wednesday the 13th to the 19th next tuesday) I will come pick it up! What is the strawberry face conversion? (sorry dont like to admit it Chris but your knowledge far outdoes mine on the 240sx/silvia stuff lol) I have a feeling this car might not last until next week but if it does and I get my paycheque Im going to grab it as long as it looks good up close and personal

Edit: also he put in new glass to get rid of the red tint in those original pics,

Strawberry Face = S15 front end on an s13/s14

And yeah, if it's still there in a week definitely get it. Hopefully it'll still be there

*edit: then again, with the conversion, you're pulling the front end off a relatively rare silvia s13 and throwing a new front end on, so IDK. Personally, I'm not a fan of the "brick" headlights.

If you were really cool you would buy an imported 180sx and get a S13 front end.

Sileighhy....mmmmmmm.

Well he already had a 180sx. Besides, true Silvia S13 > Sileighty. Unless, of course, he got his hands on one of the few true Nissan-built Sileighties. Those things are pretty much rarer than dinosaur s**t

the car is in another city about 400km from mine where I work, however my parents have condo there where I could just stow it away until I took it in for a tune-up, and yes I have had a 180sx didn't really feel a need to change the front end theres enough 240sx around with the silvia conversions on them. I know a really good guy that could get this thing running for me (he did the work on my 180sx new turbo and dyno tuned) only thing is as long as its not major issues with the motor, but then again I can pick up an rb20det for little over 1200 around here, parts are everywhere and the import dealers can get you anything/any part needed, One other car I was looking at is a 91 civic
hatch that runs a 13.4 on 65 shot of nitrous in the 1/4 mile but not sure if I like nitrous or the idea its been used in the car although it does have a spoon ecu (authentic) and some port/polish work done etc. theres the link for a quick view : >>>

btw this guy is a really good builder (he owns the civic above as well) here is an rx7 he also has for sale: hes moving into a downtown condo so can't keep all the rides (toys)

and a nice clean well running silvia @ 249 whp 15psi on a disco potato (yum same turbo I had on mine lol)for a bit more:
