Alienware laptop question...
I am in the market for a new laptop. My first stop was Dell, because I have an old Inspiron 3800 and have loved it. It has held up to some very hard abuse. However, after having thrown it across the room like a frisbee twice and punched the keyboard four or five times hard enough to send keys flying all over the place, It is time for a new one.
So I go to Dell.com and the website will not let me order one. It keeps messing up and saying that there is an error when I go to put the built system in my cart. So I write them to let them know that the website is not working and I start shopping around to see what else I can find. I go to Sony, IBM, HP, and a few others. Then I end up on CNET and see the Alienware reveiws. I go and build a m5750. The price for it comes to around $2300. Fully built, nice and fast. 17inch display, all the bells and whistles. So now we are at the point in the post where I ask: Do any of you guys or girls have one? How does it work? How is their Customer Support? Would you recommend bying one? |
RE: Alienware laptop question...
Hmmmmm............get a mac book pro instead, lots more potential there......and yah if you wanna run Vista you might as well spring for Alienware cuz anything less prolly won't run that POS Copycat Operating System. Yah I'm a decicated Mac lover for good reasons. I don't wanna start a debate though. Just my two cents.

RE: Alienware laptop question...
Alienware are extremely overpriced for what you get, and I'm pretty sure they're now owned by Dell anyway.
I'd also recommend the Apple MBP, were rated best value for the 15" and 17" portable market this year by consumer reports |
RE: Alienware laptop question...
Alienware is the s*** gamer wise, just cause you can say you boot an alienware every day. I agree though, overpriced
