O.k. guys I always loved the old muscle cars and want to find a project car to work on and learn on I don't know much about older cars and thats why I want to get one to work on. What does every one suggest as a good older muscle car to work on and learn on. Just post your opinion with year and make. Thanks.

the only american muscle you need is between your legs...

seriously, early 90s camaros and mustangs are cheap and can be found just about everywhere. I prefer mustangs out of the two

If I was going to build a muscle car, I would get either a 5.0 Mustang or a Fastback Mustang from the late 60s. If you don't have much money, go with the 5.0 Mustang. If you have a bit of money get the Fastback because they look much better. THe 5.0 Mustangs look like *** but they have alot of potentential. The Mustang Fastback is just beautiful.

get a 2 door 64-72 le mans they can be picked up for pretty cheap and then make a GTO clone. A 60's era mustang will be the cheapest to restore becasue thats what everyone does when they restore a car so the reproduction parts are everywhere. This web page will help you learn a bit more http://www.musclecardrive.com/specs/

1950-52 Chevy C3100 slammed with a blown 454 will be my classic project. Years away but it'll be sick.

first, a mustang is a pony car, not a muscle car...

if youre going to rebuild any muscle car (65-74) i would recommend something from GM if youre on a budget and dont have much experience. there are no engines cheaper to build than a small block chevy...

of course, im biased and you should get a mopar muscle car....but like most muscle cars, theyre very expensive. even the generally "unwanted" muscle cars demand top dollar now. a muscle car in nice shape at the mopar nationals demands 10,000+...and if its a hemi car, show quality is going for six figures.
