Hey everyone.
just got back from a cruise with my gf.
i was drivin down the street and next thing you know i see those damn red&blue lights.
i pulled over and after all the typical questions and my "yes sir/no sir" answers, he wrote me a ticket for playing my system too loud.
weak sauce.
ive looked online and i cant seem to find out about how much the ticket will cost. i have a spotless record.
does anyone know about how much it'll run me? the vc is 27007.

Did he have a decibel meter? If not try to get out of it in court, unless you are in a city where he can give you one for "just thinking it might have been turned up a year ago, but doesn't even have to think about proving it."

 

windcalmer is right. thats rediculous man. how loud is too loud? maybe at 1am throught a neighborhood, for disturbing the peace, but sounds gay to me

 

I'd ask another cop, but definatly fight it. Either way, you're not going to have to pay for a while.

 

no...he said he could hear ir from approx 150ft away, and the legal limit here in cali is 50ft.

 

I just went to court (traffic court) for talking on my cell. Listen to this. I was stopped in traffic. Dead stopped. The bastard raps on my window (he's on foot.) I pull over. He writes me a ticket and says, yeah, you were stopped, come to court, we'll take care of it.

So I waste my time and come down to court. The bastard lies and says he pulled me over while I was driving, blah, blah, blah. I argued and got pissed. The judge just lowered his gavel and said, pay up.

I was livid. The funny part is when I went to pay, I bitched to the cashier about it. She said, honey, just feel lucky he didn't lie about you in criminal court. Wow. She's right. But that's so f'd up.

How can he prove it was you? that sounds like one of those times where he just wanted to cause he can

i would laugh so hard if he pulled you over for it and you didn't have a stereo in the car

 

he said he was in the parking lot and he heard me coming and going.
and there was like one other car on the road...so he kinda knew who it was.

i have to admit, he was hella cool about it. but its still gay as hell. lol.
now i just have to tell my parents i got another ticket. dont really know how im gonna bring that one up...theyre on my *** about the cali roll i did a few months back.
meh.

i know i wont have to pay for awhile...it takes a couple weeks to get the ticket, and then i have a month or two to pay? something like that. and if i get a court date itll be even longer....but id rather not do that...[:@]
