Avi to Mpeg Converter
 

Does anyone know of a FREE program that will convert an AVI to Mpeg format? my mom wants me to burn a movie onto disk for her and her DVD player wont play AVI's... i got one program and it leave this stupid watermark in the middle of the screen through the whole video[:@]... i need this by Xmas.

Can't you just use whatever came with your comp/dvd drive?

well taht idea has gone out the window. the only version i can DL is 6.61 and the highest blow i can find for it is 6.5.1...

Well i would Misha... except my DVD-Rom didn't come with a video conversion tool:eek: otherwise i wouldn't be asking

It came with Nero or Cyberlink probably. Not sure about Nero, but Cyberlink can do this for you.

Yeah... ahh .... i havent never bought a program in my life... only games and hardware...i always got the programs from other people... primairily my father, cause he gets them threw his work

Man, I'm sorry for being anal, but I'm talking about FREE software that comes with any DVD drive you buy...

Yeah you only get Nero if your buy certain DVD/CD- Rw's my Cd burner came wit a version of Nero, but i have no idea where the disk went to. and taht was 4 years ago. i got DVD player software when i bought my DVD rom, but no video convertion software[:'(]
