I am mexican. My mother is mother is 100% mexican. and my dad is german and american. My mom's mom was born in mexico and imigrated to this country LEGALLY. My mom was born in Louisiana in 1968. here family were migrant workers, they moved around the country working wherever they cuold find work. they picked oranges, apples, anykind of work they could do. my mom was the first person in the entire history of her family to attain a college degree. she attained a bachelors degree w/ a major in Cristian education and with a minor in elmentary education. there are too many elementtary teachers in the U.S. so she is doing what she does best, and loves. She is a High School spanish teacher under a temporary liscence from the University of Tennessee. she is guranteed to have ajob as long as the shcool she is at will keep her. they love her. she 32 credits away from receiving a Masters degree w/major in Spanish and a minor in instructional technology. she loves what she does.
my dad was born in Harrisburg, PA. he lived as a preachers kid for most of his life and is now a pastor. he was a bad pk just like me he got mixed up in drugs and alcohol at a very young age. he began to hate church just like myself. he joined the army where he was in for five years he left as a SSG and was a platoon commander for the last two years of his service. when he left he became a grocery manager at some grocery store in NC where he met my mother they dated for six weeks and got married. They are still together and deeply in love to this day. they moved to Marlyland where he became the night manager for Preston Trucking company. b4 it was shut down, he owned a landscaping business when he moved to Ohio, he sold it when he felt his call into the ministry. He moved to florida where he attended college an d got a bachelors degree w/ a mojor in Theology and a minor in Counseling. he attained his first church in alabama he preached there for four years. and we moved to a different church where he has been for now coming up on five years in think.
I was born in Florida when my parents were on vacation. we then moved back to NC and then to maryland. i have one brother and one sister who were also born while we lived in maryland they are 11 mo. apart.
and here i am as a pk since i was 11 yrs. old. i am trying to quit drinking. but its not neccessarily that i need it. its that i want it. so its not that bad. I am entering the military on May 17th. i will be in for 4yrs as of now. we'll see how it goes.
this is my family background. My mom comes from nothing and is a high acheiver. my dad comes from preachers family and is high acheiver in my eyes. he may not have much. but i can look back and honestly say that "I have not always had everything i always wanted, but i can look back and honestly tell you. There was never a time that i needed something and never had it." God has been good.
well maybe this was my life story. but maybe some ppl can see what kind of family i come and understand some of the things that i see and the things that i say.
