I was bored tonight and so I decided to make my own intake system. Works a ton better and the car revs faster. I just did it for the fun of it, I'll get a real intake system later.

Oh yeah, I also polished (sorta) my head and intake cover, what do ya think?

lol thats what i used to do to my cars back when i didnt know any better about intakes and such. hell it made noise so i was happy.

 

I don't get it whats different?

 

Basically the bottom of the airbox has been cut away for more airflow. Seems to work well this way, I can hear it whisteling/sucking air in.

Finalimpact, what is the difference in my setup and an aftermarket one? (This isn't trying to start a war or anything) It seems like it uses the same basic principles, so I don't see much of a diffence.

 

drop in a k&n panel filter in there and your almost as good if not as good as an aftermarket ebay short ram intake......really the only difference is the filter, and the pipe which air flows through, the aftermarket one being smoother and sometimes larger.

 

god man do a B16A1 swap that would be a sick *** sleeper

 

My thoughts exactly. Know where to find a good one? Will the motors bolt up or do you have to make new mounts and everything?
