itunes has a built in converter. The files downloaded from the itunes store are "protected aac" which is just like any other file on any other cd. The "protected" means you cant convert the files to any other type and the files can only be burned 3 times i believe is the number. I use itunes for my music cause i've had friends get busted for illegal downloading. Its really easy to do everything right there in itunes.
