well my registration expired and the car title is on hold cause no one is using my car andsmog is due on the car to. when i go home like in august i want to use my car but i will just be there for 2 wks would the dmv let me use the car with a permit of some sort? i will need insurance too but i dont want to pay for 6 months with no one using the car any suggestions? i would call but everytime i come outta work its late overthere just wondering what you guys would recommend? thanks

I know you can make an appointment on the CA DMV website...whenI used to live in San Diego I just made an appt and was in and out of there in like 20 minutes....and smogging the car doesn't take too long and I think it's good for 2 years, if I remember correctly. I would just get it smogged and re-registered. it will probably be easier and fasterthan trying to find a way around all of it.

 

right now im in germany but i use to live in cali. but yeah i would take the advise of gotsnodooksbut i want to say ur car has to be smog annually.
