Which car should I get?
first off what type rsx? because the type-s has the K20A2 and where as the base model has a K20A3. So if your getting a base model rsx why not and go with the 04 SI. Beacuse ur pretty much buying the same motor just in a differant car. Thats all.
It's the base model RSX (I wish it was the Type-S... hello 6-speed
)... and like I said before, I'm leaning more towards an RSX (I just like how they look stock better than an EP3... and the car will be stock or close-to-stock for a very long time unfortunately). I'm not saying EP3's don't or can't look awesome, but I think they take a little bit of work (lowering, lip/body kit, etc) to look their best. RSX's on the other hand look just fine bone stock. Actually, I just found an '03 Type-S down in Cumberland for just under $15k (28xxx miles on the clock) that I might check out. It's a bit out of my price range, but with less than 30k miles, it might be worth it. I'm just not sure I should go over my budget when I'm 8 months away from going to school. My mom already suggested taking another year off to work (get the car paid off) before school, but I'd really, really like to avoid that. But hopefully I can go look at/test drive (well, have my dad test drive... this'll be the first manual vehicle (with more than 2 wheels) that I'll have driven, so it'd probably be best if my dad or someone that's at least driven a stick before test drives it) the RSX one night this week.

that k20a3 in the SI is tempting...

I'd like to get a Type-S if I can, but they're pretty expensive (and the ones that are $11k and under have too many miles and/or are too far away).
So what's not to like about RSX hatches? They look basically like a mix of a civic coupe and a teggie.
The cars are pretty similar in power, weight, suspension, etc., it's kinds up to you what little things you like between the two of them.
On the other hand, you could find a WRX for around 10k too...

And mxs, unfortunately, I haven't found a wrx (around here anyway) for under $15k... well, actually, there's a wrx wagon I found, but I'm not a fan of wagons lol
anyway, hopefully I'll be able to go and at least see the rsx in person some night this week
*edit: I just found an '02 RSX Type-S in Pittsburgh (like 60 miles away, and I think my parents are planning on going to the Pittsburgh area this weekend anyway) for about the same price as that silver base model I was considering (but with 104xxx miles)... now I can't decide what I want... because a 200hp 6-speed would be effin' awesome!

*edit #2: Just talked to my parents... we might be going to look at that Type-S on saturday

.. unfortuantely, now my mom's saying she doesn't know if she's in favor of getting a car with "that many miles [104xxx] on a clutch"... I'm not sure she understands that I can't afford to buy a low-mileage car, and there's no way I'm getting another auto... that's the reason I'm getting rid of the EG in the first place
Uhh... you'd rather get a 10k+ loan from ur parents than spend 6k on a better looking car? (IMO) which u could pay off by selling your civic and bike.
I would still go for the teg if I were you. Talk to your parents... stay with your original plan and get the integra.
