Which car should I get?
ORIGINAL: Masonn
Uhh... you'd rather get a 10k+ loan from ur parents than spend 6k on a better looking car? (IMO) which u could pay off by selling your civic and bike.
I would still go for the teg if I were you. Talk to your parents... stay with your original plan and get the integra.

and as a side note, my parents are giving me $4k for the car (technically, it's a college graduation present, but I'm not even in school yet... I'm calling the local WyoTech rep this spring to talk about starting next fall), so I'll end up paying no more than $6k by myself (if I get an '01 or older car, I'll be paying for it by myself, so either way I'm paying $6k).

Honestly, I'd choose an RSX over a Teg any day. Tegs look a little bit better, but K20>B18. And my parents refuse to give me any money (or even co-sign my bank loan (since I haven't established credit)) unless I get a 2002+ car. So I figure since I can't get a teg, I might as well get a teg replacement. And if I get a Type-S, I'll have a 6th gear

Well, my parents say I can't get the Type-S I was looking at because it has "over 100k miles"... becuase 106xxx miles is sooooooo much for a honda
So I'm hopefully going to go check out that base model rsx (which has 80k miles instead) I was considering next week... I'd do it this week, but the weather forecast doesn't seem too friendly. I'm just p***ed that I'm spending $10k and I can't get the car I really want. Instead I get a car sort of like it, but minus about 60hp and a 6th gear. But at least it'll be an rsx

I've never driven an SI of the mini-van type, but I drove the RSX and loved it. I had to vote for the RSX because the interior is so much nicer than most civic's excluding the new SI. The circle air vents are pretty sick looking too. The SI is a nice car, but I really like the RSX. Either way, both cars have lots of potential, and seem like they would be a fun DD.
Dont you all relize its the same freaking car beside the body thats the only differance between the 2 thats it. Ur going to get roughly the same HP and torque curves wen u dyno. SO just pick a car and go wit it. Its going to be ur car not ours. And have fun with ur new ride when u get it.
^ I already decided on the RSX... actually, I was hoping I could get the Type-S I found about 60 miles away, but my parents shot me down on it (too many miles on the clock), so now I'm looking at an '02 base model (the one I was originally looking at)... unfortunately, I'm going to be buying in full knowledge that I'll probably be trading it in for a Type-S in two or three years. Anyway, hopefully, I can talk my dad into letting me go look at it monday since I won't be having work
.
I'll make sure I take my camera and I'll keep you guys updated on whether or not I can get it, if I'm trading my civic in for it (if they offer me less than $1000, I'm keeping the civic... I'll spend the $500 to get it back in good shape, throw all my civic parts back on it, and try to sell it for $4k... There's plenty of ricers around here, so I'm pretty sure I can get $4k for it), etc.
