Cover songs, anyone like them?
 

You either love them or hate them. Does anyone have a favorite cover song or one that they just hate? For the most part I like rock covers, I like seeing someone elses interpritation of music.

Here's some of my favorites

Turn the Page-Metalica
Smooth Criminal-Alien Ant Farm
You Look Wonderful Tonight-Slightly Stoopid
In the Air Tonight-Nonpoint
Scarlet Begaonias-Sublime

One that I think should have been left alone was Simple Man. I think shinedown ruined that song. The verses were ok but the dude just chewed up the chorus and spat it out.

i like Metallica's cover, that entire album is cover's and it pretty good... but i'm not an alien ant farm fan, and the others i've never heard

You should hear them play it live, it's amazing

I have a lot of animosity towards Nonpoint for doing that song, but its a long boring story and I'll spare you the details..

Disarmonia Mundi does an awesome take on Mouth for War, highly recommend it

I personally don't think Metallica did Bob Seger's Turn the Page the justice it deserves... Great cover for sure, but you can't beat the original.

Anybody heard Cake's new cover of Sabbath's War Pigs? Awesome.

If anybody is in to punk, there's always Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, who do punk covers of..... well... everything!

Two covers i just remember that i love are Land of Confusion, and Shout by Disturbed.

And Iced Earth's Tribute to the God's album is pretty good
