My Girlfriend fell of a two story roof yesterday and I went ot visit her in the hospital today. She went on the roof to get some "alone" time and the door closed behind her. So she tried to jump down to her aunts balcony underneath her, she slipped and fell to the concrete sidewalk. She has a crushed wrist that she is getting surgery on, a broken foot, cracked pelvis in two different spots, and a hole in each lung from the impact, no broken ribs or anything. The G's from the impact were so great that it tore a small hole in each lung, but that already healed.
I was soooo sad to see her in the hospital. It hurt me to ses her in pain and discomfort. I sat with her for about 5.5 hours just sitting there with her and her mom. I was really depressed. I almost started tearing. She was tearing, from her emotions.

I really love her and this made me realize how fragile life is. Take every moment in, and cherish it, make the best of everything. The fact that I am going to the air force in a few months isn't helping any either. DAMNIT!!! I'm mad at myslef and I don't know for what. I'm going to see her tomorrow before her surgery and then again afterwards. I hope she gets better soon I cant stand seeing her in discomfort.

Give her a big ol hug for me (when she heels of course). I hope that she gets better and is away from the pain as soon as possible. Shes lucky to have a friend like you to stick by her.

 

Yeh, say hi to her from all of us on HCF. Is she just your friend, because it sounds like a bit more than that.

I'm very sorry to hear that SM, I had a similar incident with one of my male friends, was in a hit and run crossing the street one day... was there to see it... hit soo hard he was knocked clean outta his shoes and up approx 30 ft in the air, amazingly he only suffered 3 breaks in one leg (major injury) and some minor scrapes and bruises. My heart go out to you and her. Wish her a speedy recovery for me.

 

I didnt relize that I didn't put in front of the word friend (I edited it already) so yes... it is a little moe then that.
