Went to the junk yard today to get a driver side door for my 91 civic hatch and came across a mint 03 RSX that is on a lien hold. It has black 18" 5zigen hyper 5zr wheels. The guy is going to sell it for $8000.

Now my Q: is it a good deal? Or will it be a hassel to deal with the title? Any input would be good

 

Hell ya it is. That's like 1/2 price. It probably is going to have some issues with the title (transfering, lien payoff, re-registering it) I personally would care if it came on blocks of wood...if it isn't rolled or crashed it is worth it. Are they going to auction it?

 

i'd jump on it if i had the money. worse comes to worse, swap the engine and interior(seats and stuff) to ur hatch and sell the shell

I don't know if they're auctioning it, but I know it goes up for sale on the 22nd of Oct...

I checked out the prices of the rims it has and they were $1300 w/wheels...I'm stoked I stumbled on this

dude that sounds like a really good deal .... if it wasnt crashed or anything.... i would be a lil concerned about the tittle issue tho.

 

yeah for sure, I'm alittle worried about the title...

and I went and check out the car again today to check for scratches...I walked around the car and say that the back left tire was slashed. But that was it, ohh and it's a type S. The guy at the yard wouldn't let me sit in it because the car wasn't officially his yet (lien). He also said that his niece was interested in getting the car [:@]. So now I'm competing w/ a family member for this car, which sux, but I'm not gonna lose hope.

 

Ouch, now you will have to throw money in the guys face to get that car away from his niece.
