Experience w/ Projectors? (home theatre)
Y o !
I'm in the middle of the home buying process, and one of the things most important to me, is a spacious living room area with room to mount and run a projector setup. My goal is to stay under a grand, but get a nice high quality, HD, home projector. Basically I'm looking for someone who has one (or has experience with them), to fill me in on some details... so hit me with it!
My one main question is... How is the clarity on them during the day, with the lights on, etc..??
Any and ALL info on these things is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Well, we have them in all our class rooms here, really nice ones, but if the lights are on or whatever they suck. You also have to replace the bulbs every now and then which are really expensive.
If you were looking at one for a home theater type room with no windows I'd say that it'd be a good choice, but in a living room... I dunno "mang."

a friend of mine back home has an epson projector, and it wil project clearly up to 100"....its awesome...but it WASNT cheap. also, he had to play with the lighting in that room so that its not dark, yet the lighting wont flood out the projection picture.

I used to frequent a home thetre forum quite a bit and a thread talked about projectors for a grand and I belive the best one everyone agreed on was one from Costco (brand was InFocus I belive) for about 1300.
Not sure about the clarity in the daytime though.
