Are any members avid fishermen?

Took my son fishing in Matagorda Bay this morning, and he caught a 21-inch Drum. He was so excited! This was his biggest catch so far.

 

I fish in the local creek using myself as bait...so far caught nothing since my way of fishing is to fall in the damn creek after too hard of a workout.

Well, I didn't ask his permission to post the picture, so the mask is out of respect for him. He's my fishing buddy. My other son has almost no interest in fishing.

 

That's a sad story Gene. Come on down to Texas and do some Gulf fishing with us. It's amazing to me that the water depth where we fish in the bay is no more than three feet. The big fish seem to enjoy the shallows. It's also a shrimping town where we fish, so we always pick up some huge fresh jumbo shrimp for only $4/lb.

 

now I love catching my own shrimp and steaming it on the spot!

You know as well as I do that you should grill not steam your shrimp on the spot.
