Help with the wifes Montero sport

My brother-in-law changed the alternator for me a couple of months ago. The old one had oil all over it but I didn't see any leaks. Well the new alt. just went out as well, I didn't notice oil on it. My wife had a friend of hers from works husband look at it and he said it went bad because oil is leaking onto it. I haven't spoken with him but he gave my wife a quote sheet. Right now I can't afford the total, he also suggested changing the timing belt. We plan on trading this vehicle in within a year so If not necessary I would just pass on the timing belt. Here is a list of the parts he put on the sheet, can someone tell me if just replacing the alternator again and changing the cam seals and crank seal will fix this issue

timing belt
ac belt
alt belt
p/s belt
tensioner
front crank seal and
cam seals

Well if you're going to sell the vehicle next year or so I would spend the little extra money and get all the parts he said replaced in the long run u will benefit from it when u trade it in. Now my questions what type of belt does the vehicle have? Serpeintine or vbelts? Cause i have never seen a tensioner on a vbelt set up. cause all the tensioners are u pulling the alt or p/s pump and a/c to tighten them off from the crank.
