basically any retail job is gonna be probably minimum wage here in washington so maybe $8 per hour at the most. if you go for food service the same unless it is a waiter position. thats gonna be the best, tips are the sh1t

No joke, even tho it sounds boring... consider a bank. Theyre totally flexible for going to school, and as a teller a started at 10.50$ an hour. Plus commission. Then after a few months, (Since Im hella pro hahaha) I got promoted to a personal banker. I make 14$ an hour, plus commission. And I dont do that much. Its wayy better than any retail job I had. Although I do miss the discounts, Macys gave a pretty nice discount.

Fun and pays a lot? LOL ,in a mall? Your idea of 'pays a lot' must differ somewhat from mine. Maybe you meant a retailer that pays the most. That would be McDonalds. Ten bucks an hour to start and health insurance. Pizza delivery in a rich neighborhood might net you some good tips. After you get out of college, contractors and programers are the only skys-the-limit kind of jobs. Good luck.

Find a really nice club or hotel and VALET park baby...When I was in Miami I worked South Beach...weekend of work 6P-2A Sat and Sun 300 cash....so 18.75 hour plus you get to DRIVE all those fancy cars. Just leave the FUBU gear at home when you go on the interview...they look for jock types..clean cut and wholesome. (we still did brake stands....LOL)

RE: highest Paying job?

Right now, I'm working in a high end restaurant. I get $4/hr + tips, which comes put to about $15 on average. Plus when you get to know the regular customers, they take care of you. On most saturdays I get $20s and $50s from such people. Also this job gave me an opportunity to meet some very influential people. I also park cars there on mondays - 3hrs on average and I make $40+. I also get cars like RRs, Ferraris and MBs. The only downside is that i only work 15hrs a week.

I'll be getting my real estate license soon, so i would be able to sell houses which is way more profitable then workin in restaurants or stores. I may also get a job, translating legal documents from russian, ukrainian and german to english, which pays $14hr at start.

I would get out of retail. I got a job at a steel mill, and with the overtime and incentive, i make between 55,000 and 75,000 according to how much overtime is worked. 20 an hour, 30 for OT, 50 an hour on holidays, and 60 an hour for OT on holidays. But it's swing shift, and i put in about 50-60 hours a week.

If i was looking for a job, i would get a pharmacy technician license (i got mine, it costs me $40) and get a job at a pharmacy. My friend who works at a walgrees gets $10/hr starting out and a raise if he gets certified.

hard work, i work for Weyerhauser Canada, I make around the same amount on swing shift. Probably the best youre gonna do unless you get into the business world.

i work for a company called WIRELESS ADVOCATES and they are only located in COSTCO's. i believe they post there open spots on hotjobs.com. and i'm making that much because i'm manager, which i became 3 months after i started. regular sales reps normally make minimum wage+commission. you can make good money doing this if you have the communication skills.

i wanted to call bs on that, but i looked it up and all you need for licensing in illinois is a hs diploma or GED. here in colorado, you don't have to be certified, but no one will hire you unless you've got a certificate from a school...which is what i'm doing now. think i'll move to illinois now.

The commission for bankers is based on A) How many new accounts and services (i.e. debit/credit cards, online) B) Your pack volume, (With new accounts, were required to sell 3 additional products to the customers) Our volume has to be ATLEAST 45%. C) Profit proxy D) Loan volume E) Retention (whether our customers close their accounts in a few months).. F) Partner referrals (to our home mortgage, investments, and business specialists)

It sounds complicated at first, but if you can meet all of the requirements, your comp will be nicee. Plus I live in a growing area, so its not that hard to meet the loan volume goals, since we do all of our equitys from our branch. My comp as a teller when i started was $600.. for like 150 sales. And that pretty much was just doing my job.

Didnt you say your from like San Ramon?? We need people at my branch right now, probably another banker since one just got fired. But thats in Brentwood. My boss commutes from San Ramon tho.

actually im located in san lorenzo, east bay. right now i commute to santa clara which takes me like 30-45 min to drive.

yea for me to get a new job i have to be at least making 2500-3000 a month to stay at where i'm at right now.

thanks for the info tho. i'm pretty good at getting people to buy things from me so getting loans, referrals, and other things sold to customers shouldn't be too hard.

Have you ever thought about joining the military? I hear that thier pay and benefits package is quite good. Oh, btw, you get to protect all of us while your working...sorta cool.

I did two years of college before I went into the USAF, did four year there, got out, got my first degree for free, and I now make an insane amout of mony as s Defense Contractor. And I must say, I feel that I do good work that benefits all of us.

Hey, somebody has to keep the bad guys at bay. And being a doorgunner on a helo is a lot more fun than tossing french fries......

Actually, i have a license and i haven't graduated high school yet. All you need is a high school diploma (or GED) or be enrolled in high school. I jus gotta find a job now.

I lived in San Lorenzo til the end of kindergarten haha. Really tho, if you can sell, consider banking. And you have mangerial experience? My boss, who makes bank, was a manager at circuit city. He came to wells as a personal banker, and then assistant manager. Now hes a branch manager, and this was in like 2 years. We have branches all over out there too. And if you were to start with wells as a PB1, you could request more than Im making, since I started as a teller with no experience, my pay started kinda low.
