never seen a k motor. need to check one out. when did they start producing them?
I believe the k20 started in 2002? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I know that's when the new Civic SI was released as well as the RSX.

i don't know how it is on hondas, but my jetta also has this kind of setup. It makes it a pain in the *** to change spark plugs, since spark plugs are located directly underneath the intake manifold. Such a stupid layout. My favorite engine layout is the one they utilize in supras, 240sx, and bimmers (longitudenal layout?). It makes it much easier to get to everything.

that because bmw is a fine tuned bavarian wonder, you need to get in and out of there quick so you can get back to the freeway!

i just used it as an example. I mean, supra and 240sx also have the same kind of engine layout. Never did I say that bmw>all. I'm sure there are other cars with the same engine layout - I just used the ones right off the top of my head.

this is the kind of layout I was talking about. You got your headers accessible from one side, intake and trottle bodies from the other, and spark plugs in the middle. 240sx has a 4-banger that is situated the same way in the engine bay.
