My 'rents asked me what I want for my b-day. I don't know what to tell them. What would you recommend? And don't say anything, like "a new car." If I tell them to not give me anything at all - they will get me something stupid, but in the same time I don't want them to get me anything expensive either, since I'm not some kind of a spoiled brat.

get a gas card. I think moble has prepaid ones.....they could get u a card with 100 or so $$ on it for gas.

Tell them to give you money so you can do whatever you want with it or tell them to give you free rent.

Don't know. My parental units asked me the same...What do you want for Christmas? They were thinking of buying me tools (til I said, "NNNOOOOOOOO!!! I have more tools than I know what to do with!!!") So I told them to surprise me. Last year they got me my taillights (I told them to surprise me then too!) The certificate thing sounds good (But they won't know about it til you hint it. Got a girl? Use her!!!

 

I wish my parents would give me some free tools (don't celebrate chirstmas). A new torque wrench or air compressor (w/air tools) would really be cool. Those are the only important tools i don't have right now.
