Default I know I'm not the first

So, tonight I get off work. Pissed off because the people I worked with didn't do a damn thing the whole night. I find out that my car was broken into, more like politely. Someone some how unlocked my car and got into my trunk and took my Pioneer 760w amp and 12" MTX sub. Yeah I know, s**t happens but I park in front of the damn security office. 24 hour security office for that matter. I stood around waiting for them to find out if they saw anything. But no. not one person in sight. So after concluding nothing else was gone or stolen I left and called the police to have them send me a report to file. In case the one in a million chance happens that they find the low lifes that took my stuff. I know I wont get anything back but its annoying. And now I'm back to a puny sounding system.

well at least they didn't destroy your car while at it.

Sucks man. I really hope they do catch the person/people who did it. That 24 hour security office doesn't have cameras in the parking lot? I hate to say it, but you think it could have been an inside job?

Got insurance? That sucks. Last time one of my family's cars got broken into, they smashed a quarter glass panel and destroyed the center console.

Time for an alarm?

Oh man. Sorry to hear. I think all thieves should have their hands cut off, and lose their reproductive organs.. We don't need more of them running around. But you should be happy they didn't steal your car.
And this does sound like an inside job to me. How the hell can a car by a security office get broken into? Thieves go for easy targets. Not ones that could potentially get them busted.

Well for those of you who don't know how I drive/do things.
1. I dont play stuff loud in public places e.g. I turn my music down near every public place
2. I dont show it off, I would say about 5 or 6 people even know I have a system
3. My stuff was bolted down.
4. No one has access to any of my keys. I am looking at all three right now.
5. Yes, time for an alarm
6. I do feel very lucky that nothing was broken or the car itself wasn't taken but no there are no cameras, I think thats stupid.
7. As for the inside job, I think it could go either way. The mall I work at has 2 or 3 cars stolen a month.

ya if it was bolted down they shouldnt have been able to jack it... unless they just unscrewed the amplifier and box from your box that was bolted down...

but defiantly time for a alarm system... its actually pretty easy to install your own alarm system if you have basic wiring skills.

Amp was bolted to the sub and I had braces attatched to the Sub box because it was pretty big, to keep it from moving and they could have easily cut the wires and undone the bolts in a minute or two.

I have the ability to install an alarm, I just need to know where to get a good one.
