buff it and itll look like new good luck with the project, i hate body work

 

use a foam core to shape it, then smooth it and lay the fibeglass over it, it will be stronger, and light and won't damage as easy

 

yeah expanding foam is in order for the backing... on top of that.. yes i have a job at a bar.. hopefully soon a gas station...

and i still need to get the tranny fixed in the civic...

i didn't mean put the heavy spray foam under it, buy foam blocks and shape that, it is a lot easier to work with, and very very light weight. i took a composites class and worked with a bit of carbon fiber, and to make stuff we shaped a piece of foam and overlayed it with the carbon/kevlar/fiberglass whichever we wanted and then vacuum molded it to the piece so there was no air bubbles in it. it comes out very rigid and light.

Remember when u first started i said to use the styrofoam blocks and shave it down? thatd be a heck of alot easier then all of that, i agree with the guys on here. If you go to www.alpine-usa.com, look at the pictures of the X5 showcar of theirs. They do custom widebody fender flares on there and have pretty detailed pictures of how they did it with the foam, itll help you out alot and cut down the time your spending, but i hope you get done with it and get it back up and runnin man.

just let me do it how i can.. haha.... i know its easier with the foam da da da... i need a project.. and this is my project... and when i start making them for all you ppl that think it looks sexy ill start making them with the foam!... just right now i cant afford it soo im just using cardboard.!!! ghetto i know.. but still it works...
