Default LONG sob story

Ok first off, i'm so sorry you guys for not talkin to yall lately. I realize I am not everyone's best friend on here, but i have a great deal of respect and admiration for all of you guys on here and i just plain old miss hanging out on here. here's a quick (or not so quick) run down of whats been goin on with me lately.

after hurricane katrina i promised pics of baton rouge and local areas affected by the hurricane (as well as my kit). well along comes hurricane rita. i did not expect much from her since she was to make landfall in texas and katrina didnt do much to my house. i did go stay at my grandparents brick house about 15 miles away from my home just to be safe with my son. my house and the surrounding area has never seen more than 2 feet of flood water from any storm that has hit us for as long as anyone can remember. also, my house sits 3 feet off the ground. i just got a new pit bull puppy that is 6 months old and i left plenty of food, water and puppy pads to last a week. well the next day i intended to return home since the worst of the winds had died down by then. before i could even get to the access road to my home town i was greeted by road blocks and state police. the levees had broken and my entire neighborhhod was engulfed under 8 feet of water. i couldnt believe it. no one was allowed back there and they would not send anyone in to rescue pets. the waters did not recede for 3 days, even then my poor lil honda could not ford the 12 inches of water left in the streets. no one with a truck would help me. i finally made it to my house nearly a week after rita hit. i was hoping my puppy had hopped on my son's bunk bed somehow. when i finally arrived home it was devastating to say the least. the beginning of my driveway had collapsed into the ditch blocking access to even the biggest of pickup trucks. everyones yards were covered in a 4 inch thick layer of mud that killed almost every last strand of grass. i parked in the street and slipped and slid my way up the 70 or so yards to my house. I had a set of stairs that led up to my front door, they were solid wood and weighed atleast 500 pounds. they were nowhere to be seen (i still have not found them). I unlocked my door and climbed my way up into the entrance. I called out to my dog, "Sadieeeee!", Instead of being greeted by a happy puppy i found more mud, 2 inches of it across the entire floor of my house. all of the furniture in my house was piled up on the right side of every room from the force of the flood water rushing in. everything was overturned and covered in a thick moldy fungus. the smell of mildew was overpowering. i had no lights yet since the light company had not yet restored power to my neighborhood. i used the light off of my cell phone keypad to make my way through the house. i worked my way to my bedroom and saw Sadie laying very still on my bed, unfortunately she drowned due to my own stupidity. I should have brought her with me, hind sight is 20 / 20. every single thing in my house was ruined. the pictures of my son from birth to present, all our clothes, his toys, furniture, appliances, everything.

(to be continued..... sorry the fema inspector just called me and i have to go now! i'll be back shortly to finish my story)

Its one thing to see your dog die, its another thing to know you coulda done something about it in the first place. Im very sorry to hear that Eric. If you would happen to be looking for a new dog, I can get you some rare breeds if you would like (etc, english pointers, blue ticks, great danes, Queens litter labradors...).

BTW, Ive went though Hugo and it was no cake walk either so what you said hit home with me.

ok thanks for the sympathy guys, touched that yall care heh heh,. anyways i know yall have it bad too i mean i'm not the only one with hard luck. but i need to get this off my chest especially since i feel very guilty for not posting in so long, dont want yall thinking i forgot about yall, so heres part two:

ok so here i am no computer, no place to live. so i am bouncing around from house to house living out of my trunk (thank God for my civ right?). I am struggling to keep a decent roof over my head and i feel guilty because I want to keep my friendships i am building on here. I wanted to post those pics i promised but even the damn disposable camera i took them with was ruined in the flood. Well my ex and her parents manage to hire an excellent lawyer in the midst of all this they blind side me with a surprise custody hearing, she breaks into my now wrecked house and takes pictures. we go before the judge and he grants her temporary split custody again until we meet again in a month so he can decide what to do next. so now i am really down in the dumps, atleast i didnt lose my son. so things start looking up, i meet this bombshell of a girl, she is a realtor, a fine brunette that needs to be posted in the thong and cleavage showdown. so fine i was wondering what she saw in me. we have 2 incredible weeks together then her childhood friend gets back from iraq and he asks her to marry him, just like she says yes and it was like me and her never happenned. oh well, it hurt but i had fun. i shoulda figured it was my car, who cares. so anyway yesterday i am driving down main street in downtown Houma, LA and i am shifting out of 2nd at about 3500 rpm and BOOM! loud explosion happens and smoke is pouring from my hood. the motor is still running though but there is now a very loud clacking sound. I shut the motor off immediately and had it towed to a friend's shop. we think i broke a conecting rod among other possible fun things. so needless to say i am in the market for a new motor. Sorry sniper i will be able to race you soon hopefully, it just seems if its not one thing its another. I am about to go search through the ads on here but if anyone happens to have an extra "gsr" or "type r" layin around collecting dust let me know. i'll be over here holding my breath on that one. i already found a couple b18 japan motors on ebay for around 700 but thats no vtec and no tranny and no ecu and no wiring harness..... and no turbo, heh heh. anyway i am definitely in the market for a dual overhead cam now, sorry again sniper but i figure if i gotta dump a few g's i might as well move up my potential. i will be searching through here as much as possible for ideas on my new motor swap so all ideas, thoughts, suggestions and smart *** comments are welcome because i need to act fast so i can be driving again soon. ok guys thanks for letting me dump on yall, cant afford a psychiatrist, yall are the next best thing. on the upside of all this, fema is helping me out so that should cover all my motor swap expenses, and they are supposed to be hooking me up with a trailer till i can get on my feet again so things are looking up. once i get settled in my own place and get a computer again i will be on here again post whorish as ever.

Freaky, brotha. It's good to hear from you. I was getting worried.

Seriously, if you need a place to stay you can come up here. I can even hook you up with a job. What are you doing for work?

Dude, it's always darkest before the dawn. From what I have been hearing/seeing FEMA is really helping out finacially so that's good. Hell, we are even eligible for some cash.

How desperate are you for a motor? I am parting out a buddies 2nd gen Integra (B18A1) for next to nothing since I decided not to buy it, and we are pulling the Z6 out of my brother's car tomorrow in favor of a Y8. You want to come help? Beers are definitely on me.

I tried your number and it's not available or something. Give me a call, Man. 225-614-5759.
