Thats not what TopGear said. When they drove both cars (the old ones) around thier track the SI beat the GTi.

 

Go and drive it and then well see what you have to say. I loved driving it, i loved the interior including the seats, and i love the body style. But that's just my preference.

 

I'm a Honda guy at the end of the day. Even if i drive it and find that it handles better than the SI i would still get the SI for two reasons really. One, its a Honda and will prolly outlast a VW. VW are high maintance and have a record of breaking down. Two, its like 4k more than the SI. For 4K i could buy an aftermarket suspension and then i will be able to out handle the GTi and i will still have some money left in my pocket. And i think the SI looks better.

 

VW are not that unreliable if you take care of any car it will run for a while i have a friend that has a jetta gli with 282k on the clock and it runs so strong and i do like the new gti but am not a fan of the newer vw i do like vw but mainly mk1 and mk2 but honda is still my preference

 

I gotta tell ya, I respect Top Gear so much that if they said they round house kicked chuck norris in the face and killed him id believe them.

 

wow..i never even saw that post...

um..what top gear are you seeing...because i was actually referencing from top gear. I have seen and own every episode since season 1. and please dont tell me you see the ones on the discovery channel
