This is not so much a problem but I would like to bring it to the attention of the forum members to try and curb it before it does start being a problem.

I have noticed in the last say month or two that people have made it a habit to post pics of a project car wise or a video be it related to a car or not here in OT. Now I know OT gets more traffic than most the other forums and I know it makes it alot more fun to have more people respond to a vid or pic you post. But in all honesty it belongs in the Sights N Sounds forum.

I am not making this post to point anyone out so please do not take it that way. Just in the future try and use a lil better judgement and place your topic in the correct forum. Also on that note I would like to urge people to get out of OT a lil bit more. I see about the same 5/6 members helping and adding to the other section alot more than most. I can not tell you where to post or anything but it helps everyone to get involved in the tech sections of the forum. Be it debate about a tech/performance subject or just general talk on the matter. Alot of people learn alot from this kind of activity plus it will shift the forum into a more tech minded community which is allways good.

These are not so much demands on my part but things I would like to see happen. I would also like to thank all members for making this such a great forum but we need to allways try and make it better. The member base we have is great, drama is never a problem here and alot of the members are very open to learning new things which is a great asset for a forum.

Thanks for reading and please leave a comment on how you think the forum is doing and advice for any improvement you feel will better it. We are allways here to help and are totally open to suggestions.

 

good point marty i think the forum is doing great. it would be nice to have a chat room but i know that would cost money

 

^ that idae was brought up a while back but i think they decided taht it may take away from the forum more than add to it. and marty your not the only one that has noticed taht too, i think that more people should post in the other sections, i would more so but sometimes by the time i read the posts in the OT section i have to do other things so i can't read any more lol

 

Sorry, I beleive I was one of those people, But I just joined, so I'm alowed the one mistake right? The only crappy part is now im addicted to this forum and its starting to scare me that its eating my life.....but if theres anything id want to eat my life, its my civic.

 

Good point. If something comes up that I know about I will help out. Also anytime I have had a question I have received good information. This is one reason I have stuck with this forum,it's a good source of information not only about hondas but other things that people enjoy doing. I have been a member of other forums pertaining to my hobbies,guns ,knives,other car makes and it seems that all most of them are interested in doing is picking your comments apart and flaming your every post. I don't see that kind of nonsense here and that is a credit to the admin as well as the entire membership. It's good to communicate with sensible people and thanks for laughing at my jokes.

 

i've noticed the pic/video stuff on off topic as well, dosnt bother me but i guess it should stay in the appropriate section. i think the forums doing amazing, seems to be growing pretty fast and hasnt lost a step! keep up the good work mods!

 

REMINDER! Please people, try and keep this stuff in Sights and Sounds!!! I've already had to move two threads this morning, and one yesterday.

 

what if you posting a pic in the apperance section of somthing you did to your ride? or the audio section? or somthing like that?

 

^ i think that as long as it is staying on the topic of the thread then there shouldn't be a problem, but if you start posting pics/videos of random stuff on the off topic section then it belongs in the Sights and Sounds

 

random pics/video of stuff other than ur car or w/e should prolly stay in the sights & sounds section and pics of w/e u do with ur car should prolly go in the appearence section tho its not bad if it goes in the sights & sounds(pics of ur ride i mean).
