I'm pretty sure most of you saw mine before, but here they are again:
1993 525im
What can I say, Russians like BMW's ah? Da!

Heres my gas gusler Chevy truck. Also, I will be buying a 4th gen prelude with h22 in the summer, so no pics for now.
what can I say... I always dreamed of owning a BMW. I used to think that they were way out of my price range. Based on my experiences, they are awesome cars. In my mind BMW sits right up there with toyota, honda, and nissan, when it comes to quality cars

meh, that's a common misconception. Yeah, if you go to the stealer - they will rape you on parts or any kind of service, but there are other sources for parts and working on a bimmer is in no way harder then on any other car. I'm sure honda dealers are no different. Just for the record, my car realisticly costs around $3k, not that much more expensive than a civic of the same age. You can score a '97 528i for around $10k. Modding could get a bit pricey, mostly because 90% of the mods out there are top of the line.

PS. I highly recommend www.bmaautoparts.com for OEM parts - they offer huge discounts. I don't think they carry anything aftermarket though.

we paid about half of that for ours, because my dad went over it and found that it needed exhaust, suspension work, etc...so they knocked that all off. nothign that went onto it is OEM, the suspension stuff was all aftermarket, as is the exhaust system.

same exact thing happened to me! the car had a hole in the muffler and some worn suspension components. You might also want to change the water pump if your car is approaching or went over 200k miles. Mine took a dump when i was on vacation in VA - cost me $300 to fix, while I could have done it for a $100(cost of a water pump)

andry, funny that you shoudl mention that...since ive moved, the bmw and the track car stayed at home. my dad has been racing both and driving the bimmer, and a while back he told me that it was over heating. it was right around 205k, i believe. sure enough, the water pump was shot...he said that the impeller was destroyed...last time home i took the bmw to the track but the tiny all season tires that are now on it were worthless..i couldnt get off the line, plus i hadnt driven a stick in some 8 months...so i was s***ty, and it ran high 16s all night long. my dad got in, and got it into the mid 16s, but the short times were still awful. plus, before i moved, it had the stock clutch, and when i went back he had installed the new gearbox and clutch, and its like a whole new car. it feels SO much better on the street, but on the track, it just did some sweet burnouts. we also didnt take anything out of the car...we have pictures of my dad in the stratus versus me in the bimmer...

anywaysm, mxs, why are trees holding up your garage?
