Default Slowly but surely I'm converting the family.

To all Honda drivers.

So last night my dad was driving in the country and hit a deer with his 97 Nissan Altima. He's pretty sure that when the claims adjuster for the insurrance company finally comes to look at the car it will be declared "totaled". The fender, hood, right headlight, bumper, grill, air core, radiator, and radiator mount are all pretty much destroyed. Which my dad (a former body man) figures that it would be around $3,000 to fix or replace everything. Which when I looked up the value of the car if it were still in excellent-good condition that would be about what the car would sell for at a dealership.

So my dad has officially started looking for a Civic today. At first he wanted a small truck (like a chevy s10) but the way gas pricess keep going up he decided he needs something that gets really good mileage. I told him to get a 6th gen, and that if he ended up getting a coupe with a manual tranny that I would steal it from him Lol.

No I just have to convert my mom....Which even though she bought her 2000 Chevy Impala in September, she's starting to consider getting a Honda because she's realizing that her car isn't getting as good of gas mileage as she thought it would.

Heh Both my brother and I drive hondas (he has a 94 Prelude) and now dad's probably jumping on the Honda bandwagon.

I loved my honda, I really did. But I've been convertedto something else. My girlfriend is in the market for a car, and I'm trying to find a corolla for her. And my sister is almost able to get her lisence too so I might end up converting her as well. My family really has no other person who knows about cars. My dad lives halfway across the continent, so I'm #1 lol. When I had my civic, I took my grandpa for a ride in it, and he drove it and loved it. He said it was fun to drive and it reminded him what it was like to be younger, but he's more of a van/truck person. I took him for a ride in my tacoma, and he fell in love with it. My grandparents arn't by any means rich so they're going to stick with their Astrovan (lol).

I've found that Corollas really stink. I've driven them before as my uncle and aunt both have Corollas, but the handling is terrible compared to the civic. I'd much rather drive my '94 Civic then the newer Corollas (not the newest model, haven't driven that)

lol my dad drives a civic for better gas mileage.

I drive a pathfinder, and now hoping for camaro.

Civics are great car for the purpose they were built for. Saves a lot of money on gas. But for me I need some more hp and tq. And sure not being a lame ricer by adding fart can mufflers to gain hp.

So now my interest for honda has decreased but surely will come back in a few years and get a civic Si
