summer test drives...
I went to my favorite honda dealer today to see what they had on the lot and lo and behold they had a deep red civic si on the lot.
the salesman asked if I wanted to take a test drive and i said "YES". lol.
10 seconds later we were walkin' out the door and heading to the si.
the salesman let me drive it straight off the lot. the car is damm sexy, I must say.
the exhaust note burbles like bigger engines and acceleration was pretty quick.
I didn't flog the car on the backroads, like the salesman said i could, but I did see how it exited out of corners. "pretty fast" comes to mind.
the only qualms I had was with the shifter, which was tight compared to my EX, which is already broken in, and the electric power steering.
if you let the wheel spin back while exiting a turn, the wheel SLAMS back quick. it's kind of scary, actually.
oh well. sexy is, as sexy does.

thats cool we can't get a si here they are sold before they unloaded off the truck . a few dealers are taking bids on them so i don't know when i will drive one. i haven't even seen one yet
i was offered a test drive on he 06 SI, but i couldn't stay i was just browsing... then they sold it before i could go back, and they havent gotten any new ones in yet[:'(]
I was planning on buying one and the dealer said I could put a deposit down on it but they dont have any to test drive. I will not buy a car w/o seeing it in person and driving it first so I told him that and left. Honda is loosing customers like me as they are not meeting demand. Oh well i like the rsx better anyway so I may go check one of them out later this year.
i test drove both.
the Si is for the enthusiast driver.
the suspension is really hunkered down, to the point it's almost hard to drive at slow speeds.
but that all changes when you put your foot down.
the RSX is for someone who wants a little more luxury on the inside and slightly less all-out handling performance.
