Default system in a racecar

i want to have a race car, but also a cruising car, and DD. to have a system in my car is gonna be a big thing like im sure it is for more than half of you guys on here. is it gonna make that big of a weight difference? or just keep it simple with a couple 2ways and head unit?

you could still put a system in. the only thing that is significantly heavy is the subs and box and those can just be taken out on race day. so if ya want a system then get one. but just remember, a real race car will not be a DD or a cruising car, but a DD or cruising car could be like autocross car or something along those lines

Agreed. Im keeping it simple, stock system. Maybe later on ill be getting a better more clear system, but not anytime soon, and I wouldnt waste money on subs. I dont listen to rap and it would be a waste of money and weight, it will be about 30 pounds if your lucky

well just remember, when building a race car...lots of stickers. the nos ones add 15hp i think? if you want, you co uld be like this guy around my college with a big SOHC VTEC sticker on his car that goes from underneath the door trim to the bottom and about halfway up the side...im sure thats good for aat least 20 hp
