For those of you who are Christians or who like tattoos
 

I just got a tattoo tonight. Wanna know what you think. The words in greek are a famous prayer known as the Jesus prayer, it says: "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me the sinner." The snake that is part of thorns represents sin as well as the snake around cross that moses put up to save the people of Israel who were bitten by snakes which represents Christ.

No, some Christians think so though, but not all. In the Old Testament of the Bible God does say about forbidding tattooing but when He is talking about it He is talking about how the pagan cultures near israel would many times tattoo the bodies of the dead. Also that law is considered by Christians the old law which was the law folowed before Jesus came. Basically, once Jesus died for our sins, we follow a new law. And the old testament doesn't specifically state anything restricting tattooing your own body. Anyone who says so is taking the verse out of context. Some really conservative Christians (really strict Baptist people mostly, no offense to Baptists though) believe that they are evil. But I don't think there is anything wrong with them, especially when it something like this which is something that marks me as a Christian.

at least its not one of those barbed wire rings around your arm... or the random chinese characters that mean "love" and "peace"... lol im j/p because my bro has both of those, but his chinese characters mean other things like (in my bro's words badassness)... I like the tat though.
