Default Turn in the badge?

As some of you may know, Im a Sheriffs Officer on Cape Cod. I love my job, I have been working here for almost a year now. I got the job through the Barnstable County Sheriff himself who comes into the bar I work at. I have been blessed with the oppritunity to fullfill a life long dream. I have been put on the Cape Cod Undercover Drug Task Force, Im not an UC cop, but I do dress out of uniform, which is something no first year sheriffs officer has ever been allowed to do.

However because I have been working at the bar since I was 17 years old, and have been a bouncer there and at 4 other popular bars on Cape, and have moved up to security manager of 2 bars (The Raw Bar, and The Boat House) I have been offered a job I pretty much cant refuse. This guy who has a summer home near the raw bar hangs out with me and a few other LE buddies. Well it just so happens this guy owns 3 very established bars in Boston, and he needs a security/events manager. Ill have roughly 30-40 guys under me. As well as a personal asst.

Not only that but hes going to help me get an apartment right in downtown boston on Comm Ave. and give me a bonus right off the bat. The job is going to pay 6 figures, and I havent stepped foot in a college course for managing a bar. I told him i would let him know by wedesday, and if i agree im going to have to give roughly 3 weeks notice at the sheriffs office.

I have pretty much already made my decision, and Im just wondering If you guys think this is a wise move?

I would probably take the job but you have to make the decision. And did you even want to live in boston?

its really up to wut you feel is right...put the money aside and think of which you liked better working as an officer or as security/events manager...just sit and think about it for a while, about which you would rather do for the rest of your life, remember that money doesnt make you happy its loving what you do...just sum thoughts on my part...good luck

yah I think im going to. Im selling all my mods on my STi, then Im going to sell the car, after all that Im hoping I have plenty of money to get stuff for my apt, and pay a few months worth of rent up front. If any of you guys have the oppritunity to work at a bar like the one I worked at on Cape Cod, do it. The people you meet in there will hook you up. Just last week I had a guy who wanted to help me start a mobile detailing business, and by help I mean he was going to completley finance it. lol

Honestly I have no idea. My first goal is to just get the SRT4 paid off. Keep the Civic, and maybe get a Grand Cherokee SRT8 or a 300C SRT-8 in black or silver, but I wont buy one until I know im in a secure position and have all my finances squared away. Not to mention my girlfriend is going to be getting a job at a hospital in Boston, so we are probably going to be moving in together.

then again just thinking right now, I would have to look at the Evo X or any year Audi S4. I dont want to spend more than 45k though. I really want to bank the most amount of money I can so I can sometime in the near future buy a house.
