uh...K&N filter add

did anyone see that on the K&N filter add claims a 17 hp gain? that made me laugh...

RE: uh...K&N filter add

That wasn't just a drop-in filter. That's a short ram intake and filter resulting in a increase of 17.31 HP. On a 8.1 L engine with 330 HP that's only a 5.3% gain. Why is that so laughable? I wouldn't think K&N would be one to just make up numbers like that. We aren't talking about APC here.

And a 5.3% gain (5.3% gain on a stock 106HP civic is 5.6HP) isn't bad considering all you're doing is adding a short ram intake.

all horsepower gains are pretty much percentages, so the more you have the more you will get... sucks when you are at the bottom though.
