Updated Info- 2008 Skyline's 3.8 TT V6
^ True, the Skyline has been known more for it's tuning capabilites, rather than it's stock setup. More than likely some tuned versions will follow to satisfy the elite performance enthusiasts... like the GT-R Z-Tune. Then you get up into crazy money which is the drawback...
If you have 80k to buy a car, do you really want to buy a Nissan? If you look at the people that buy 80k cars, they are usually very wealthy white guys who really don't have anything to do with the import scene.
I totally agree, this car being a $80k+ car is just going to flop, cause the people with that sort of money don't want a Nissan, they wan BMW's, Porsche's, and Benz's
and as for the R34 i agree, it was hghly overweight, the R33 weighed less then it and had the exact same engine and power. but in my books the R32 is and always will be the best skyline for all round performance... but i still like this new one

Motorex never had a problem selling every Skyline they brought over here, for 95 thousand after everything was said and done. Pricing is suppose to around 70k. I think @ 55k this car will be a bigger bargain than a Z06 and would sell EXTREMELY well. But no way would I buy this over a Z06 for 70k.
I dont think they will have a problem selling them, I think demand will be high. Nissan is a good company and they have a SICK marketing program over there, so I wouldnt worry about sales. As for this thing being underpowered/overweight/overpriced IT HASNT COME OUT YET. Nissan knows this car will flop if it doesnt compete with the 997 Turbo.
Maybe it wont be as quick to 60 as the 997 turbo, but this isnt a pissing match over who makes it to 60 quickest, its about all around performance which Nissan BETTER deliever on.

The only reason Motorex doesn't have problems selling Skylines is b/c there are so few few of them. But when you have several thousands Skylines to sell, the wow factor goes down b/c its no longer super rare and you can pick one up at the local dealership.
ive done a comprehensive review of the history of the skyline, and in stock, or next to stock form, the skyline has been destroying cars in its racing classes for decades...it was only recently brought to the attention of the american public thanks to the games and movies...
