Body mods are heavy and they are just for decoration. There is a front bumper that I have seen that creates down(ward) force, but 99% of the ones that you see are fluff. As far as spoilers go, they can create enough downforce to assist in handling or weight distributon to warrant having one, but again most of them are not functional.

Like 40 said, link or quote something that you have issue with and maybe we can get it straightend out; and I mean something tangible, not "I dont' like body kits" or "19" wheels are the bomb."

i feel your pain, lol. a wise person on this forum once told me "your ride should be your own." so whether someone says they dont like your car cuz of your body mods then what of it? i mean your drivin it so why let other people bother you. if u seen my car then you know im with ya on the body mods, and i have little to no engine mods. my whole theory behind that is most people in my town have some big ponies under the hood so even if i dropped a couple g's on a motor and got a turbo/supercharger kit i still wouldnt stand a chance so i kind of like that fact that if some doushbag rollin a high h/p mustang rolls up and wants to race i can say, Hey, just cuz my ride looks better than your doesnt mean its faster. something stupid like that. so all in all just do what you what want to do. anyways thats my .02 cents on the whole thing.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for people who do thier own work!!! Even those who attempt it and fail.At least they triedMAD PROPS YO!!!lol Anyway you guys have totally given me a complex about the tassles and crushed velvet look...Damn!!! I like to play alot of driving games.2 in particular are NFS underground 1 2 and 3.FORZA Motorsports and so on. if you have Forza get a 90-somethin' civic hatch and check out the body kits then check out the spoilers. I have to agree with you guys that rice is rice but my civic on forza looks bad *** oh and by the way it has 681hp. Point is games are a fun place to see what body mods might look like. I did not mean to offend anybody especially now that Ive said what i said I am sure ANY wrong advice will be pointed out with a death star laser.

**** reading anything I do ****, I spend hours on my car, I am the one turning wrenches. There is no publication that can tell me anything I dont allready know. Not that I am cocky about knowing stuff it's just that I have done this for the majority of my life, through busted knuckle, pain, agrevasion, and mistakes I have taught myself what to do and not to do. No desk jockey that writes stories on body kits and overpriced rims can teach me anything.

For real, on my X-Box, body kits and neons and spoilers, and even scoops look friggin hot, but in real life... no thanks. It's just too busy for my taste. I saw a 5th gen today with an Invader hood and I was like wtf? Terrible. You would need 681Hp to justify rockin that crap.

You gotta watch out on the internet. As my teacher always tells me, anyone with a keyboard can write whatever they want on the internet.

i just dont see the point of body kits...most of them are big, ugly, break pretty easily, and dont do much(atleast for civics cuz comon, do we really need that much downforce on a fwd that really wont be going 140+mph all the time?). i like lip kits cuz they give a little ****e without going overboard but not much after that. i dont plan on ever being a show car or being sponsored so it'd be a major major waste of money. i think most ppl on here want their well and hard earned money to go to something more practical and useful. atleast thats what i gather..

+1 but it is pretty funny to see some1 rolling in a cracked fiber glass body kit, especially when you can see the individual fibers.
