Why the Valet cant touch my car EVER again
So i have recently turned 21 and a friend of mine a little older than myself wanted to make a trip to Santa Barbara for some local beer and gambling at a casino up there. So the day started out great. A few hours at the local skatepark fallowed by some good brews and burgers...then the casino. BTW my friend drives a 2003 WRX with about 350hp to the wheels. We go up to the complimentary valet ,no self parking, and my friend gives a little run down on the clutch and the engine start button; you cant start the car with the key. We watch the valet stall then figure it out and cruise off no big deal. 3 hours and less money later we go back to get the car and as it comes up, before we can see it we hear a horrible sound. This sound was a blown WRX transmission. As the valet tries to force it to continue to move and the sound worsens we run up to him and make him stop the car. Well another three hours later we are provided a ride back down to LA having to leave the WRX in there garage...it is now questionable as to wheather they will fix it cause they dont have any video of the valets shifting hard or joy riding...all i know is the car showed no signs of wear and the tranny was just rebuild by Subaru >20,000 miles ago and after 3 hours in the hands of a valet it is totally stripped...so performance clutch drivers watch out for those valets
THAT SUCKS!!! They have a casino is Santa Barbara? I had no idea... Ay, if you go back up there you should hit up this one burrito spot called Freebirds on the UCSB campus... they're the biggestburritos i've ever seen and they're open 24/7
Well, who cares whether there was a video or not? Obviously the car was fine when you gave the keys to the valet. How else would he be able to park it? Your friend should be able to have them fix the car. I mean, if the scenario was a bit different, you would be SOL. If you drove off and then something happened for example
