Xenon Vs. Silverstar
Hey I am thinking on getting some Xenon bulbs for my can to hold me over till i have enough for the H.I.D's. But i was wondering, what would be better, some actual Xenon bulbs or just a set of the Sylvania Silverstar bulbs. I had the Sylvania ones in my old Corolla, and they were pretty good.
I just wanted to see what everyone's opinion on Xenon was |
RE: Xenon Vs. Silverstar
honestly I'd say just use your current bulbs until you can afford the HIDs. a good kit will only cost you $250 on here, and a pair of silverstars will cost you $40. That's 15% of your HID money right there.

RE: Xenon Vs. Silverstar
i agree with auto just hold out a little bit longer and youll get the HIDs sooner

RE: Xenon Vs. Silverstar
iv had silverstar also... they are brighter, and whiter but im sure u knew that.

RE: Xenon Vs. Silverstar
I have one Silverstar in my car right now (bought crappy fake Xenon on eBay [:@]) and for one bulb it is $27.99, and everyone that has Xenon has told me that they told me they were about $30 for both, so that is why i am asking cause i need a new bulb anyway.
<<Hey i rolled into 1st gear |
RE: Xenon Vs. Silverstar
In the meantime, if you need another bulb because one is burnt out, just buy an ordinary bulb.
I agree with the others, just wait and save your cash for HIDs. |
RE: Xenon Vs. Silverstar
i've used both types of bulbs ---i like silverstar better ---but like everybody said --just use cheap ones 4 now
|
RE: Xenon Vs. Silverstar
remmember: dont touch the bulb cause it will blow.
|
RE: Xenon Vs. Silverstar
eh just keep the stockers. I want the HIDS but i gotta pay off the turbo first. Just stick it out till u get the HIDS.
|
RE: Xenon Vs. Silverstar
good thinkin pirate^^^ touching the bulb gets grease and dirt on it, and that makes hott spots, and that lessens the life of the bulb.
