02 95 civic sensor + pcv valve

Hey,

Q1. So I have my check engine light ison. Mechanic says that the 02 sensor code keeps coming up, and its gonna cost me 235 to fix. My question to you is if I change it my self do I have to have a computer to tune it. Why does it cost so much if the part is just 50 bux?

Can I just change my self and get rid of the light?

Q2. Another 95 civic I have is my main driver. It has 115k on it and I wanted to know if I never changed the pcv valve does it need to be changed for the next tune up? Is that part of a tune up ( to change the pcv valve)?

Q3. What are some good street tires that last a lllllloooooooonnnnnnggggg time. Not street racing but conservative driving tires that last a while? Any particular brands and models I should keep an eye out for?

Thanks,

You can change the sensor yourself and the light will go out. Nothing needs to be retuned. To avoid confusion later after replacing the sensor, you should also clear the code from the computer by disconnecting the battery.

New PCV valve after 100,000 miles is a good idea. I don't know if they have a scheduled time.
